Someone just shoot me now ......

I finished Dave's quilt. Yup, came straight home from work, fixed the mistake I made last night, sewed all the borders on and stood back to admire my handiwork and BAM!

I sewed one of the fish blocks in UPSIDE-DOWN!!!!!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry .....

So if you'll excuse me, I think I'll just crawl under the quilting machine and curl up in a little ball....

I so feel your pain Trish! I've done that before. I can't wait to get started on Paul's quilt. I think it will go together very quickly and he's going to really like it.

You are a serious quilter. I usually make 3 quilts a year. I am an engineer so they are bed sized quilts, no artsy fartsy stuff from me. I also do all my quilting by hand. I don't think the machine would fit in my budget.

A little of both laughing/crying never hurts. He'll love it regardless. It just adds a little more "specialness" to the quilt.

Nooooooooo, after all that work? Forget it, it will be right side up when he looks at it the other way!...lol.
It's the snow Trish, it's the bloody snow...we don't know where to put it and where to put ourselves. Under a quilt is good.
keep laughing...

Bummer...are you going to leave it? If you do you will see it every time you look at the quilt, you know that don't you.......

Could it not just be a dead fish? They float to the top I'm told!!!lol. Or maybe it's the "mistake" every quilt has to have? Sigh, I agree, it's gotta be all the snow.
